Dr. Mahdavi has Managed major global businesses in the energy sector. He is currently the executive director of the Financial Data Professionals Institute (FDPI), a non-profit organization affiliated with CAIA. FDPI provides chartered designation, FDP, for the financial professionals working in the fast-growing field of AI and data science. Dr. Mahdavi is also a trusted advisor for global 500 firms in the field of digital transformation. Prior to this position, he served as the Chief Digital Officer of Weatherford International. He also had and a 22-year career in Schlumberger in variety of technical and management positions. Mehrzad holds a PhD in Nuclear Science and Technology from the University of Michigan a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Chris leads the quantitative effort at Whitebox Advisors, a multi-strategy hedge fund founded in 1999 with offices globally. His work has covered systematic alpha identification and portfolio management in options, global equities, and credit. His current focus is primarily in the latter along with active research in systematic applications in structured products.
Chris is also an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota Math Finance Program.

Richard Mathieson, CA
Managing Director, BlackRock
Richard Mathieson, CA, Managing Director, is a member of the Scientific Active Equity division within BlackRock's Active Equities Group. He is a Portfolio Manager responsible for global equity strategies.
Prior to this he led the Investment Strategy team in EMEA for Scientific Active Equity. Mr. Mathieson's service with the firm dates back to 2002, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to rejoining BGI in 2008, Mr. Mathieson was an equity analyst for a specialist investment company focused on European financial stocks. Previously he was with BGI as a senior portfolio manager, where he was responsible for managing both long only and market neutral strategies.
Mr. Mathieson qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000, and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Glasgow.

Chris Prouty has been with Cargill's Risk Management division since 2008, working as a trader in agriculture and base metals derivatives. Focusing mainly on structured products, Chris has spent the last two years building a cloud-based platform to quote, trade, and manage commodity risk. Chris also serves as an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota's Master of Financial Mathematics program, teaching a class on computational finance.
Chief Executive Officer, SIMON
Jason Broder is the Chief Executive Officer of SIMON. Prior to joining SIMON, Jason was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and was Head of the Private Investor Products Group in the Americas, which focused on the creation and distribution of structured investments to third party distributors, as well as Goldman Sachsâ€™ Private Wealth Management clients. In addition, Jason also ran the insurance business within the Equities Division.
Jason spearheaded the creation of the SIMON Platform in 2012 and was responsible for the development and roll-out of the platform to the firm’s client base for the six years leading up to the divestiture in 2018. Jason joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as an analyst where he was initially focused on structuring derivatives for high net worth clients, and in 2008 began to manage the PWM sales coverage team and the third-party broker-dealer channel. He was named Managing Director in 2011.
Jason earned a BS in Economics and a BS in Biology from MIT. He holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 57, and 63 securities registrations.

As a Managing Partner, Al brings over 20 years of experience in mortgage and capital markets to Blue Water’s senior management team. Al is responsible for overseeing product development, day to day operations and informing strategic thought. Immediately prior to joining Blue Water, Alan “Al” Qureshi was the President of Incenter Portfolio Advisors. At Incenter, Al developed various MSR related hedge strategies and valuation models as well as an MSR execution Platform called MSR-X. Al brings all of these developments with him to Blue Water and is excited to continue to build upon these strategies in a dynamic, sophisticated and client-focused environment. Prior to joining Incenter, Al served as Head of Mortgage Servicing Hedging and Hedging Analytics at U.S. Bank. Al has also held MSR, analytic, hedging and trading appointments for JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Diamondback Capital.
Al graduated from the University of Toronto with a bachelors degree in Applied Science and Engineering. Al also obtained his Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School with a specialization in Finance and Economics.

Nick is the founder and Managing Partner of Rice Park Capital Management LP (“Rice Park Capital”). Rice Park Capital is a Minneapolis-based investment firm and the manager of Rice Park Ventures Fund I LP with a mandate to invest in Real Estate Technology (“RETech”) and Financial Technology (“FinTech”) companies run by proven founders and executives, solving significant problems in large and addressable markets, and using technology to achieve scale and create barriers to entry. Prior to founding Rice Park, Nick was the Chief Investment Officer for Blackstone’s residential mortgage REIT and the founding executive and President of Incenter (Blackstone portfolio company), a technology-enabled provider of transactional and capital markets services to the financial services market. Prior to Blackstone, Nick served as Managing Director, Two Harbors Investment Corp (NYSE: TWO) where he built and led the investment platform for MSR and residential whole loans. Prior to TWO, Nick was Chief Investment Officer for Green Tree Investment Management (“GTIM”) where he was responsible for the residential mortgage investment platform. He was also the senior portfolio manager for a $1.45 billion private investment fund co-managed by GTIM.
Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Office, Morgan Creek Capital Management
Mark Yusko is the Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Creek Capital Management. Prior to forming Morgan Creek, Mr. Yusko was President, Chief Investment Officer and Founder of UNC Management Company, the Endowment investment office for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from 1998 to 2004. Throughout his tenure, he directly oversaw strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations to the Investment Fund Board, investment manager selection, manager performance evaluation, spending policy management and performance reporting. Total assets under management were $1.5 billion ($1.2 billion in endowment assets and $300 million in working capital). Until 1998, Mr. Yusko was the Senior Investment Director for the University of Notre Dame Investment Office where he joined as the Assistant Investment Officer in October of 1993. He worked with the Chief Investment Officer in all aspects of Endowment Management. Mr. Yusko received a BA with honors from the University of Notre Dame and a MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Chicago. Mr. Yusko is an Advisory Board member of a number of private capital partnerships and alternative investment programs and has served as a consultant on alternative investments to a select group of institutions. Mr. Yusko is an Investment Committee member of the MCNC Endowment, President and Chairman of the Investment Committee of The Hesburghâ€Yusko Scholars Foundation at the University of Notre Dame, and President and Head of the Investment Committee of the Morgan Creek Foundation.
